Intern Spotlight - Gayathri Manoharan

Gayathri Manoharan is a Digital Technology Intern for accentedge’s Summer Internship program. She brings a strong background in analytics and a variety of IT fields.

While an undergraduate, Gayathri earned a Bachelor’s in Technology majoring in Instrumentation Engineering at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore, India. Her interest in technology led her to work for Redwood Algorithms, a data science consulting firm.

“I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Business Analytics from University of Illinois at Chicago,” Gayathri notes. “My long-term goal is to be a highly-skilled professional in analytics.”

Gayathri likes to travel and discover new places. A highlight of a recent trip was visiting the Amer Fort in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Working with accentedge’s technology team, Gayathri has used her analytics background and tech knowledge to support a variety of projects for the company.

“The internship helped me develop my skills and gain knowledge in web development, Google Analytics and AWS,” Gayathri notes, “I also worked on skills that were previously out of my comfort zone – Adobe XD and Jira to name a few.”

Outside of school and work, Gayathri enjoys travelling, cooking and discovering new cuisines. During a vacation last year she traveled to a place she had always wanted to visit, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, a city famous for it’s preserved architecture, palaces and forts.

Gayathri hopes her work with accentedge can help her land a job in her field after graduate school.

In a world where delivering major cost reductions and streamlining workflow has a unique benefit to companies,” Gayathri notes, “I understand the importance of being tech savvy and how effective use of technology can yield profit in any kind of work setting.”

“Working as an intern in accentedge has made me realize the importance of teamwork and coordination,” Gayathri adds,  “which I believe is a strong asset in building a successful professional career. Moreover, the collaborative environment made me look forward to work every day.”
